What Is Better Than A Free Concert?
The Capital Project is offering a free show this Thursday (November 2nd, 2017) at the Boyce Farmers’ Market in Fredericton. The Capital Project Presents: Awesome; I Shot That! is the kick-off for the Silver Wave Film Festival. The event promises; sixteen local bands, movie screenings, a food truck, and a chance to document a piece of New Brunswick music history. Sabian Cymbals has generously offered to pick up the tab for cover for the event. Those who have already paid will be reimbursed.
“The Capital Project is an important documentary that explores and celebrates the musical landscape right here in our own backyard,” said Sabian President Andy Zildjian. “Making it possible for the New Brunswick community to attend is our way of contributing to the crucial role that local music plays in our local culture, and enriching the lives of our young musicians and fans.”
The series is being produced by Fredericton, production company RayneMaker Productions, which specializes in video production and distribution. The project is a documentary series that focuses on the amazing New Brunswick music scene with more than 100 New Brunswick band performances and 200 interviews with bands, solo musicians, music educators, theatre performers, festival organizers, venue owners and music promoters.
“The Capital Project is really capturing a moment in time in the New Brunswick music scene,” said project director Tim Rayne.“ Because the concert will become the end of the film, it’s crucial to have a great turnout, making this generous support from SABIAN so important to us as filmmakers.”
The cool part of the night is that they want to involve the audience. They want YOU to be creative and want YOU to film the end credit sequence for their upcoming Web Series on the NB music scene The Capital Project with your smartphones. The Capital Project wants the clips that you record from the concert night sent to them. They do not care how long or how short the clips are.
