FreedomFest in the Field Festival Raises Money for Charity
FreedomFest in the Field is happening again this upcoming weekend in Harvey, NB (August 11th to 14th, 2017). FreedomFest in the Field is the second incarnation of FreedomFest – First they partied on a farm, now it’s in a field. Last time the event raised over 800$ for each of the two charities (Eco Fredericton and The Angel fund) and this time they are hoping to raise over 8000$ each for Habitat for Humanity and Christmas Mummies.
Featuring jam bands through metal, DJs ranging from house to minimal, FreedomFest in the Field will be a spectacular show for all! With three days of music ranging from Slowcoaster to Neighbourhood Watch, from Jinx the Cat to Hero’s Last Rite, from Soundsyster to John the Resonator we have jam, Funk, metal, rock, hip hop and EDM. It’s the party you don’t want to miss, and it’s close to Fredericton and Charlotte County. Last time we had this party we blew the roof off – let’s see what happens when it gets BIGGER!!
Milltown trucking is donating both flatbeds and zapp electrical are donating most of the power (aside from a reduced generator rental fee) so the festival can raise more for the charities. Freedomfest was very pleased to have had MANY military service people step up and offer to be security, so they were able to reduce costs there as well without compromising safety. They were excited to have volunteers literally driving in from Ontario, Nova Scotia and PEI, because they believe in this event.
Slowcoaster’s set has been extended, they’ll be going on earlier and playing just as late. Thusano Tshedi is putting together a small Big Love reunion group just for this festival – surprise! FACTOR has jumped on board and has offered us a small grant to help donate MORE money to the charities! Everyone is really helping out.
We hope to see you out to support our cause.
